Family Friendly Holidays in Norfolk

Everything you need

Our north Norfolk holiday cottages are all family friendly, featuring everything you need to make your stay away from home as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

We try to think of everything, from the obvious necessities when you’re travelling with children (washing machine, tumble dryer), to extras that are strictly applicable to families such as cots and high chairs.

Our cottages at Primrose Farm Barns in Roughton (Rainbow Cottage, Hawthorn Cottage and Blackberry Cottage) all share access to a good-sized outdoor children’s pay area with swing and slide, as well as an indoor heated salt water swimming pool* and games room with pool table.

Shoal Cottage at Overstrand overlooks one of the best beaches in Norfolk is only fifty metres from the slipway which leads down to the sandy beach, making it ideal for families.

*Note: The swimming pool is available between the hours of 5 and 8pm and is shared between all 3 cottages. Please note there is no lifeguard, so an adult must supervise children of any age at all times and nobody can use the pool area on their own. No alcohol is to be consumed in the pool area. Children should be supervised at all times when close to water.

Norwich Castle – a bona-fide norman Castle right in the centre of Norwich City – a great day out and ideal on rainy days.

Pensthorpe Natural Park – 700 acres of wildlife, walks and gardens plus some of the best indoor and outdoor adventure play in the region.

National Trust properties, including Blickling Hall, Sheringham Park and Felbrigg Hall. All fabulous family days out.

Holkham. Incredible beach, walks, outdoor play area and plenty going on besides.

“Cosy barn, with restricted access times to a beautiful swimming pool. Short drive in a radius of property to lots of good walking, beaches and good food.”
